“Dayspring Community Church exists to bring people to Jesus and connect them into His family, to help them grow in their faith, serve others through a ministry, and reach people for Christ, all in order to honor God.”

The underlined words represent the five purposes for which we believe we exist. What do these 5 purposes mean in a practical sense and how do we try to live them out?

CONNECT
As Christ-Followers God wants us not just to believe, but also to belong…to connect and “do life” with one another. Trying to be a “lone-ranger” Christian doesn’t work, and is never what God intended. That’s why we put a big emphasis on small groups, where you can be connected and experience true community, no matter how big our church grows.

GROW
God expects every Christ-Follower to keep growing…to be devoted to experiencing continual life-change in our attitudes, thoughts and actions. We’re always asking ourselves, “What is my next step?” Our classes and messages are designed to make this happen, for God’s Word to take root and affect all areas of our lives.

SERVE
One reason the church exists is to serve people. Rather than a “me-first mindset” or consumer mentality, God wants us to be a tool in His hands to meet other’s needs and help heal their hurts. We’ll help you find a place to serve others in a way that is consistent with your gifts and that is sensitive to your schedule and season of life.

REACH
Having experienced God’s outrageous love, a Christ-Follower is naturally compelled to reach others with that same love, helping them realize how much they matter to God! We provide special classes to help you, special events to which you can invite your friends, and weekend services that you can be confident will challenge and engage those in your life who don’t yet know God personally.

HONOR
God totally deserves our honor…but what does it mean to honor God? We honor Him by gathering together weekly to express our love and worship for Him. We also honor Him by living our daily lives in a way that makes God “look good.”
