Dayspring Community Church was born in 1929, and has had a wonderful history with great people and pastors. Pastor Bill Lyne came to Dayspring in 1988, and the church continued to grow. However he started to experience what he calls a “holy discontent with the status quo” as he realized that most of our growth was coming from transfers from other churches rather than from new unchurched people who were coming to DCC and giving their lives to Jesus Christ. 

So God began to birth a new dream in the leaders’ hearts…of seeing Dayspring become a church for the unchurched…a church that would be highly relevant to the lives of real people…a church with a contagious Christianity that would influence and change our entire community, one life at a time. 

And so in 1997 we began an exciting journey of transitioning Dayspring from a traditional church to one that is highly contemporary in style, bringing God’s message to this generation in compelling ways. Today our growing congregation is doing whatever it takes to effectively reach unchurched people and help them grow into fully-devoted followers of Christ.
