Our Denominational Affiliation

Dayspring is proud to be a part of a world-wide family of churches called the "Missionary Church", an evangelical denomination committed to overseas missions and local church planting.  We have our origins in revival movements that swept across North America in the late 19th century. Many of the early members were members of churches which had become caught up in a religion of form and tradition. The flames of revival sparked a renewed dynamic and vitality that was not welcomed by leaders of their former churches. A number were excommunicated, and under God's leading, they came together through a series of mergers covering nearly one hundred years.

We are organized in districts which have their own conferences each year. Our national General Conference is held every other year.

What makes our denomination distinctive is its emphasis on foreign missions and on church planting here in the USA. We have one of the highest numbers of overseas missionaries per US member of any denomination. There is also an aggressive strategy to plant hundreds of new churches across our country.

Our Interdenominational Connections

We are also proud to be under the umbrella of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE). The NAE is an organization of many like-minded denominations in our country. DCC is a member of the Willow Creek Association, a worldwide group of churches committed to reaching people for Christ in culturally relevant ways.
