Lance
Burton
Elder
Lance moved to the Auburn area in 1999 and started
attending Dayspring in 2000. He became a follower of Jesus in the
fall of 1991. Lance and his wife Belinda have 3 children Reid,
Marie, and Allison. He works in Auburn as a Family Medicine
Physician. He enjoys spending time with his family as well as
playing and following various sports.
Marvin
Houser
Elder
Marvin and his wife Deloris have
attended Dayspring most of their married lives.
They have 3 children who are
all married and 6 grandchildren.
He
gave his life to Christ as a teenager.
He serves as a Greeter and
also as a small group leader.
He is retired from Navistar
International and now enjoys fishing and camping.
Andy Jaworski
Elder
Andy Jaworski has lived in Hamilton for five years
and began attending Dayspring in 2002. He grew up in the Catholic
church and gave his life to Christ in 1999. He has been married to
his wife, Lori, since 1990. They have one son, Kevin. Andy
graduated from Purdue University with degrees in Aeronautical/Astronautical
Engineering and Civil Engineering. He has worked for Nucor since
1993 and currently works in Research and Development. Andy has
volunteered in the Promiseland preschool area and currently
volunteers as a computer operator.
Steve Sweeney
Elder
Steve Sweeney has been attending Dayspring Community
Church for 15 years. His wife’s name is Teresa, and they have three
grown children: Chris, Bob, and Tamara. All of the Sweeney’s
children are married.
Steve
accepted Christ at age 10 and has rededicated his live to Christ on
several occasions. Besides being on the Elder Board, Steve’s
ministry involvement includes working with the kids in Promiseland,
leading an adult Discovery Group, Ushering, and leading a “40-Days
of Purpose.”
On a more
personal note, Steve says, “I enjoy working with 3rd – 5th
graders in Promiseland, and prays these kids will come to know
Christ at an early age. I thank God for my loving wife Teresa, who
has been a wonderful model Christian and encourager for me to grow
in my faith. It is exciting to be involved in DCC. A place where
many are being challenged to serve God and many are already serving
